Pixy

Spring 2022

Pixy is a constructed script typeface created using the software, Glyphs. This typeface is constructed using a 3x3 unit grid and is made solely of squares and right triangles, which allows for geometric focused alignments. The constraints set require all four corners to be touched, and three of the four corners must be a right triangle, (with O/0 being the only outliers).

There are two variations, the primary glyph set and an alternative set that showcases the grid structure that acted as the foundation for the typeface.

This design demonstrates the glyphs interacting with each other outside of conventional type and how the geometric structure creates perfect alignments.
